Family Office

It is a universally acknowledged fact that a family can accumulate considerable wealth and dissipate it within three generations. The role of the family office is to assist families establish a platform with the aims of preserving and enhancing the value of the family assets. Our directors and staff have handled the affairs of a substantial number of private clients over the years, many of whom have significant wealth. It is as a result of this experience and the trust that has developed with these clients, that we have become increasingly involved in arranging and coordinating key aspects of their financial and family affairs. This role we describe as our 'Family Office' service.

A cohesive family structure is difficult to achieve and maintain, yet essential to the continuance of the family's wealth and security. To provide the desired service it is essential that we understand the family culture and their individual and collective hopes and aspirations. Wherever possible we would encourage the development of a Family Mission Statement as a framework to work within, which once established assists us in tailoring our service accordingly.

Our experience has been predominantly to act as the manager of the various investment, tax and legal advisers, in what may be referred to as a 'Manager of Managers' role. We can assist with identifying suitable advisers for any given role or alternatively we can work alongside existing professionals and family advisers. We can also provide ad-hoc consultancy services.

A key aspect of our commitment and support to clients is to be available whenever required. Once instructed, a dedicated team will be identified for the family with contact details of the key team members being provided to give the security of an ‘on call service’.
